Welcome to Joe Batt’s Arm

Even before the first settlers from Europe arrived, people have been visiting  our community for many reasons. Beothuk, the native Indians of Newfoundland, used our shores to hunt and gather food as well as to rest on their journeys to the Funk Islands in their birch canoes. Filled with unique cultural heritage, beautiful scenery, and natural resources, one part of our great province that has its own unique flavour of sunsets, icebergs, whales and folklore, is Joe Batt's Arm.

If you visit, be sure to ask about the site of the world’s only “witches foot”.
